Ebook About Celebrate 30 years of one of the most influential stories ever told in the comics medium with the anniversary edition of the undisputed graphic novel masterpiece and NEW YORK TIMES bestseller BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS.Writer/artist Frank Miller completely reinvents the legend of Batman in this saga of a near-future Gotham City gone to rot, 10 years after the Dark Knight's retirement. Forced to take action, the Dark Knight returns in a blaze of fury, taking on a whole new generation of criminals and matching their level of violence. He is soon joined by a new Robin--a girl named Carrie Kelley--who proves to be just as invaluable as her predecessors. But can Batman and Robin deal with the threat posed by their deadliest enemies after years of incarceration have turned them into perfect psychopaths? And more important, can anyone survive the coming fallout from an undeclared war between the superpowers--or the clash of what were once the world's greatest heroes?Book Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - 30th Anniversary Edition Review :
This book is an essential read for any Batman fan, whether you’re starting out or have been reading comics/graphic novels for years. Almost every Batman story within the past 30 years has been influenced in some way by this book. That being said, I do not recommend giving this to children under the age of 14 or 15. Don’t be one of those parents that gives their 7 year old a Batman book and then freak out when you see their kid looking at a woman shooting a machine gun shirtless with Swastikas painted on her boobs (it’s a weird book).I also have to warn unseasoned readers that is a heavy read and can be a bit confusing and even strange in parts. After reading the book you might wanna watch some analysis videos as well to comprehend it better. But don’t let any of that discourage you, I still highly recommend this! Overrated. The most overrated Batman comic ever. Worst art, and besides Batman, Jordan, and the Joker, everyone is out of place. Terrible panel layout, no backgrounds for most panels with negative space, and story doesn't make sense outside of the first part with Bruce going back to being Batman. Worst art in a comic book I've ever seen, but I've also seen google images of Dark Knight Returns 2. If anyone wants to read a good Batman comic, read Batman the Long Halloween, Batman The Killing Joke, Batman Hush, Batman Year One, etc. There's alot better Batman stories out there, with better art. I've only named a few good comics. The only people who would like is are Batman fanboys who think Batman could even stand a chance against Superman, not knowing anything about thr history between the two, and why they wouldn't fight. This book is placed above most comic books, and to me, a long time fan od both Superman and Batman, this book is insulting. Don't read this. Frank Miller does great with Batman Year One and DareDevil Born Again, but most of his comics are bad. The fact this book is places so high only confirms it only appeals to people who don't read DC comics or bother to get into DC comics. The fact this book is placed over Watchmen or any other comic is insulting. Don't waste your money on this book.
