I thought the story was sweet and I assume it was meant to be short, but it was like we missed the part of the story that makes Scarlett’s stories great. I mean falling in love in like a day is a bit fast even for my romantic heart. I loved to have the beginning,middle and end. The thing I love about the authors books is the mystery, the action and the steamy romance. This couple actually has a lot of appeal. Just wished it been a longer story. Steamy romance; epilogue contains long and explicate consummation of marriage; Ambrose and Clementine are attending a houseparty hosted by Lady Fangfoss. A bee gets up the skirts of Clementine prompting Ambrose to help her. Others in the garden discover them in the compromising position subsequently leading to a betrothal. From there Ambrose and Clementine develop a relationship suitable for marriage. The author has created a romance that has a good mix of proper and improper elements with a nice pinch of humor. The supporting characters are also nicely developed especially Charity and Lord Wilton. The valet of Ambrose and lady's maid of Clementine marry. The story is a nice setup for the rest of the series should the reader choose to pursue the following stories.
